If PoE 2 has no CWDT builds, I will quit for good.

Wow. That is a crazy nerf. It seems the path that GGG is trying to do is make game play ALOT slower which is not a smart move on their end if that is the case because they nerfed attack speed and movement speed on a lot of things this league and that is what makes a lot of builds fun..

I mean if you watch any of the PoE 2 gameplay you can see its slow AF.

Last time i checked an ARPG is supposed to be a hack and slash game where you just run over enemies endlessly and rake in the rewards. If i wanted slower gameplay where i actually have to pay attention ill go play something else. GGG doesnt know their audience it seems.
GGG is trying to make POE into a dark souls genre and its annoying.. bad move and that genre is so saturated its not even funny

you can still attack probably 5x faster than when the game first launched in 2013.

if they keep on adding sources of speed, and you wont let them remove any, where does the game end up? theyre not even adding and then removing at the same rate, the game overall has been getting faster and faster and faster for 11 years, for every 1% they remove theyre adding like 4%, and youre complaining about the 1% as if it will destroy the game. at what point is the 4% destroying the game?

you cant just keep on adding sources of speed and multiplicative damage forever without occasionally removing some.

"Once upon a time" does not make a thing right or optimal, if it did the game would not have changed.

...and this isn't mentioned anywhere in the patch notes. Just found out this morning via reddit. Post here: reddit link

Stuff like this is annoying as hell and quite frankly unacceptable! Wasted my early currency only to find out it's now unobtainable!

I also somewhat planned my build around this with flask effect to meet certain breakpoints, but now I had to switch things around, basically nerfing my entire build, because GGG failed to mention this HUGE NERF in the patch notes. For those who do not know:

We lost 17% (T1) base Attack/Cast Speed from flasks. It can no longer roll.

My Wilma's Requital build just lost a good 40% Attack Speed without me knowing it. My caster Totem build had to spend an extra 4 points just to get some of that Cast Speed back.

This is bullshit!!!

Yup I told a guy about this nerf earlier this morning in global. This isn't the first nor 8th time GGG has stealth nerfed stuff sadly. Even I've called them out on stealth nerfs before most notably during that Betrayal league patch. Anytime there's some discovered definitely make posts like this to keep the people informed.

To add insult to injury (& be fair), GGG doesn't always tell us new stuff other than nerfs either. Like earlier I was mapping and ran into quite a few new stuff that was never explained.

1) The first was some weird new area, walked in and got transported to some dark woods with a glowing light i had to follow and kill monsters, just for it to all eventually disappear without timer or warning. Dude's in global said something about wisps and to do those BEFORE doing the rest of the map but needless to say I did it after the map was done just in case of some fuckery.

2) The second was some super weird thing to appear in another map that looked like a map in a glass case but mentioned something about repairs. I took a screenshot, in short someone said it's a sentinel. Not the sentinel from Herald of Purity, but something new and not visible but the thing in the case said it was for 10 secs for some effect. All it did was litter the area with crusader influenced gears. Still not sure wtf that was about but whatever

3) Ran a T17 Sanctuary map carrying 4 other people, to unlock my 6th slot in the map device just for it to not work. Mind you, the patch notes says it should and it does NOT specific if it's supposed to be a certain T17 other than non Valdo which this map wasnt. It also doesn't say if it's supposed to be a old one or new one, in which I ran a 2nd one with someone else that had just found it. Look at this straight from the patch notes and tell me what the problem is.

"
Added a 6th slot to the Map Device. The 5th Map Device slot is now unlocked by completing either Maven's Invitation: The Atlas, or by completing a non-Valdo's Tier 17 Map. The 6th slot is unlocked when you complete the other encounter.

4) So after 3, I figured I'd try giving maven atlas invitation a shot, it's green / quest like but held off on it to finish leveling and not risk losing xp %. Tried to run it and it wouldn't let me, message said I didn't unlock enough bosses. Problem is I clear as day had 18 bosses witnessed by the Maven according to the middle button on the map device for her option between Eater and Exarch. So someone in global tells me the bosses have a counter and it must have reset with this patch. GGG didn't mention this, so now I'm rerunning maps all over again for her to witness.

5) While in the 2nd T17, the newer one mentioned in #3; I ran into something or some person called the Nameless Seer. I clicked on it but nothing happened, no speeches or items shown or anything. Then someone in global said I have to fully clear the map, so at the time there was only 15 monsters left so ok I cleared it down to 0. Now I couldnt even click it. Guy who I was in party said something about it not offering anything good. So now I figure whatever this is must be activated through your OWN maps that you open / host in your hideout. Yet again, nothing mentioned about what this is or how it works. No tutorial or anything.

6) Something about reflective mists appeared............ok ENOUGH. This is exactly what I mean when I said in other posts that GGG never fully explains shit to us. All this exploration by trial and error bullshit has to stop.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's 6 quick instances of more new stuff which GGG has been stealthy about. If it's a new mechanic then yes GGG should 100% tell the players about it, just as they do when they either tell us about stuff in patch notes / promotional or even in game like when you first start.

While some people might be quick to say "oh you didn't play x league?", keep in mind that even if you do play a league they never 100% explain shit there either. Perfect example, to this very day we've NEVER gotten a full explanation of what Nemesis mods are. The only way we have to refer to is by checking PoE wiki page (3rd party). During Nemesis league nothing was explained, during Ambush league nothing was explained, what's the difference between Strongboxes, how many and what they do. Don't even get me started on Beastiary..

Yet people wonder why myself and others refuse to bother with temp leagues.....ugh.

Edit: the 7th unexplained thing are these new tinctures (flasks). While the patch notes did somewhat touch on them, the problem is many of us did not know that these were for melee only nor if these work in the same manner as flasks with mageblood since it's worn and fit on the belt in flask slots. Even another guy asked me about the cooldown mod on one of the ones I found and linked here. He asked if that cooldown applied to all skills and it didn't seem to cause I tested it with Dash and Immortal Call, with no cooldown time reduction at all.

"
Tinctures have been added to the core game, with adjusted mechanics. You can place a Tincture in one of your Belt slots instead of a Flask. While a Tincture is active it grants you a powerful buff to your melee attacks, but inflicts Mana Burn on you, draining your mana at an increasing rate the longer the Tincture has been active. The Tincture can be manually deactivated, or will automatically deactivate when you run out of mana.
You can inherently only have one Tincture active at a time. Tinctures also have a cooldown, so once you have deactivated one, no Tincture can be activated for a time. Like Flasks, Tinctures can be Magic or Unique but not Rare.

So they added new flasks exclusive to melee functions only, why exactly?? Overnerfed the shit outta Hatred cold users especially casters and phys to cold bow users with that and wanders with elemental hit nerf changing it to melee only, then turn around and add more flask types but for melee. How in the fk is this making sense?
I rarely post, but when I do it's important. Fighting for the player, not monsters! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/880487

I am very surprised that GGG failed to include this nerf in the patch notes, I mean "hello" that is what the patch notes are for. Giving GGG the benefit of the doubt (as I usually do) this must have been an oversight rather than a purposeful stealth nerf. What is disappointing is GGG failing to put out an explanation quickly.
By now my flask selection in standard consists entirely of things GGG have outlawed, lol. Thanks GGG for confirming I've chosen correctly :) No, won't use your new tinctures with tiny uptime and insane mana cost on top of skill mana cost going up again this patch.

If you wish to make the game slower, maybe first stop balancing content around crazy zoom-zoom dps with "kill a boss before it inevitably kills you"?
Im not sure if it was in the patch notes that i may missed it but the Marionette Corpse from Affliction which revivded itself after death had a 1 second cooldown. Now its 4 seconds.

I used the Guardians Blessing tech with Marionette Corpses and Haste aura on two of my characters and Spectre gem lvl 13 for 2 Spectres.

With 1 second cooldown of revival the tech was quite reliable.
4 second unmentioned nerf cd kills the tech unfortunately.
