Haven't played in a long time. Is picking up stuff still an issue?

After playing some torchlight infinite with the free loot pets I really hope we can get something like that. Picking up things legit make my hands hurt even when I make the filter strict. This is coming from a dota 2 and RTS player.

No autoloot but pickup range is increased.
