Which account to invest in? Console vs PC

Dear all,

since I am coming from PC gaming I am now a bit struggeling.
Which Account should I invest in? My old poe PC account or the PS5 - console account?
Reason for asking is that the purchases will go to poe2 e.g. stash extension and I would like to avoid paying twice.

Goal would be to couch coop with my wife on the PS5 although my PC account got currently more stash extension than my PS5 account.

Guess at least currently it is not possible to mighrate my PC account stuff to my PS5 account.

Any advice?

I'd message ggg support about this. I only play on PC and to be honest don't know if my stash tabs or any other mtx stuff is available on PS5 if I were try to log onto a PS5.

Maybe you can make your PC poe account also a PS5 account? I'm not sure

IIRC I at one point had 2 accounts. a steam account and an account direct to GGG. I didnt know you could play w/ out steam. I msg and they were able to xfer all the characters and items and mtx/stash bla bla over to the account that was off the steam launcher. Seems like a similar case unless for some reason the console stuff isnt compatible. Just merge one accounts details onto another account.

Hopefully they give an option to merge PC with console into 1 account, i got MTX on console too.

So for now, PC and PlayStation on separate.

The #1 reason I don't play poe on PlayStation is because I've spent hundreds of dollars on this game and they don't share an account.

PoE2 and GGG are supposed to have shared, cross-purchase MTX. The last update I saw on this was it was GGGs PLAN, but Sony is an absolutely terrible company and I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt they are going to be ok with people buying MTX on a PC and
Sony not getting a cut since it's not on the PlayStation store.

Likewise, why in the world would GGG and Tencent agree to giving Sony a cut for any purchases made on a PC and not the Playstation Store? I simply don't see this working out in the gamers favor.

That all being said. You're going to roll the dice either way. What is more important to you, PC or Console? Buy stuff there and hope it all works out.

They are fully separate, so I guess I have to ask if they can just convert it over since I bought only on PC yet but switched to play on ps5 online since so want to play couch coop in the future with my wife.

Except they claim poe2 will have "Cross-progression" with console and pc.

There just isn't that mechanism right now.

MTX isn't progression though, so that doesn't really say much.

Sony allows cross MTX but they are very greedy about it, if they aren't getting like 85% of the relative MTX revenue as other platforms then the developer has to pay them extra money to remain on the platform. I imagine they would also need a hefty bribe to allow retroactive MTX, like PoE2 inheriting PoE1 MTX (if that's still a thing that is happening).

So either GGG is paying a lot of money out of pocket just so PS players can have cross platform MTX, or there will be no cross platform MTX. However, the latter does raise questions about stash.

Yeah no, it just cannot work that way. If you log into PC your PS5 cosmetics unequip and you lose items in your stash? Or what if you have character slots on one platform, your can't access a character in the other? It simply cannot be allowed.

I'm sure this was considered though. It will absolutely carry MTX and progression unless they are completely unhinged.
