Beginner friendly respec of passive skill points in PoE2

PoE Orbs of Regret have a major issue: They are too expensive and too rare to be spent by a new players trying to figure out the game on their own. In practice respec is only viable on high level characters and for the low level ones it's better to just start over. This won't seem like a big problem to PoE veterans, but I see it as a potential quit moment for a newcomer.

I was thinking a lot about potential solution, I might have something worth shearing:
The solution would be a parallel respec system to the regret points. One very similar to the passives respec from Last Epoch, where player can pay gold to unspent skill points at very low cost, which is ramping up with the amount of passive skill points spent, to the point where at the end of the campaign, a regular respec system based on Orbs of Regret and respec points would be more cost efficient.
This way new player is not punished for early game experimentation and it also prevents characters from ever getting "bricked" during the campaign. Later, player transitions to the standard Regrets system, which fits nicely with the principle of gold as main campaign resource (easy to understand for newcomer), but pushed out by the crafting currency system in the late game.
