Excited for PoE 2?

Why or why not?

It kinda feels like some of the interest/excitement has changed for better or worse. Not necessarily because of the delay (although possibly). Seems like the general consensus is that it's becoming ruthless 2.0 which may or may not be for everyone.

So just wondering your guys thoughts

I am deeply curious to see how Chris and his will make a reality of some of the ideas he has long wanted to see in Path of Exile but couldn't find a way to simply add.

I am very interested in where GGG will be after PoE 2 releases, in terms of what seems to me a risky move to have not one but two GaaS ARPGs on the go. In my experience, a GaaS developer/distributor typically devote themselves to one title at a time in any given series, e.g. Smite to Smite 2, Overwatch to Overwatch 2. GGG's player base is already quite divided across game modes and, more abstractly, play styles.

I am very glad that PoE 1 won't be the last title from Grinding Gear GameS, because Grinding Gear Game just sounds weird. It'll be very cool to see how much PoE 2 benefits from all the lessons GGG must have learned along the way in these past 15 or so years. Or if it caters to a whole different type of player than that which PoE 1 has engendered. All very fascinating.

But am I excited? Not in the slightest. It'll just be there one day and I'll give it a go. I expect I'll like it. But until then, I've far too many other things deserving of my excitement. Far more concrete, reliable things.

I'm very excited. Fresh game, new systems and significantly less bloat compared to current Path of Exile.
I'm very excited, although i bet poe 2 will be the mess for at least first year after official launch.

Spoiler
but still 1000000000000 bilion times better than Diablo 4 #D4bad
STUPID BEAST
As excited I am for any other game launch, which is none.

Would probably be doing or playing something I enjoy and down the road after six months give it a try, finish the campaign and put it down for a couple of years.
I think it will be the same "evolution" than POE 1 but two times faster at least.
no
No, not really.

The more I've seen of 2 gameplay the more boring it looks.

Clearly I may be wrong but also all new releases these days come out of the box insanely bugged and jacked up in some critical gameplay area so what's to get excited about on release?
I'm very excited about it. I'm mostly excited about the fact that it should be just a little bit more accessible to people (like me) who don't have the "study time" available to put towards learning super complex systems/builds like PoE 1 has.
Casuals are excited about PoE2 because it will be casual-friendly.
Ruthless enjoyers are excited about PoE2 because it will be very ruthless.
PoE1 enjoyers are excited about PoE2 because it will be just like PoE1.
Everybody can dream.
