T17 maps and death?

Fast forward to today, and I'm watching a YT video where the guy's showing his approach to T17s. At one point he dies, rezzes back, and keeps going. So, needless to say, I'm a bit confused.

Edit: I may have figured it out. Per the WIKI, the "Valdo's maps" (whatever they are) may in some instances have a modifier which does send you to the void league if you die. I did not see this modifier mentions for regular T17 maps.

So, hopefully, that's the answer.

Also not all Valdo's maps have that modifier.
