poisonous concoction of bouncing - how to POB correctly?

What settings do I have to apply to poisonous concoction of bouncing, for it to display correct boss dps?

Specifically I wonder about
- Skillcount: Do I set it to 1 or to maximum number of chains?
- within the configuration tab there is a setting for "Number of times Skill has chained"

Now I believe, either
I set the skillcount to max number of chains and the additional chaining configration doesnt matter much except for things like "...more dmg each time has chained.."
or
I set the skillcount to 1 and the configuration tab to my max number of chains


Any clarification to this would be awesome.
