cwdt help

hello, i am playing a glass cannon shockwave totem build for sanctum and trying to prevent getting 1 tapped by bladedancer. i tried using cwdt with steelskin/immortal call but both seem to fail to proc when he hits me. i have cwdt leveled to 14 which says it should proc at 1980 damage taken, steelskin is at 18 which is the highest for lvl14 cwdt (lvl64 req) and my hp is 2190. any reason why it doesn't proc? is there a better way to mitigate this dmg? motlen shell? TIA

Cwdt will not save you from a one tap. If the full damage from the first hit kills you you will have to make yourself tankier as only the second hit would mitigate any damage.
