build says to leave it at level 1 but i do not understand why. i levelled and qualitied one and it seems better than not.. please halp!

Because you want the corpses desecrate spawns to be close to each instead of a wide spread, which might result in less dps if DD doesnt hit the target because the corpse itself was spawned too far away.
