Cortex Unique Map drop rate

I'm farming some Synthesised Maps and notice that Cortex Map is dropping quite frequently, got 5 already as a map drop from the boss in those Synthesised Maps. In the past i've gotten only 1 or 2 per league as a reward from a map boss. Just checking if this is intended, or if i'm in a lucky streak.
