Mac OS: mapping fps is around 5-10
Have significant FPS drop from 60 to 5 on maps.
Game screen record with that problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SczxddYoO4o MacBook Pro Chip: Apple M1 Max RAM: 32 GB Game graphic settings: All graphic low, vsync adaptive, tripple-buffering disabled. Was trying to disable/enable different parts of graphic settings in different combinations, settings vsync off and capping foreground fps cap, etc.. This league is literally unplayable with that FPS. Previous time on same macbook I played in Sentinel league, that was cwdt-build (that already can make fps drops by itself), but all was very smooth - from juiciest mapping with 5 deli orbs to uber-bosses. But this leagu even simple pack of mobs on the map can make drop from 60 to 10 fps for a few seconds, and simple mechanics, like blight, can make game unplayable with 5 fps. Hoping for some progress into a fix here, same issue with same specs. Would love to be a least close to what the previous league's performance was.

Yep
commented on another thread too Since the 3.24 prep patches in Afflication, I've had terrible lag. Almost unplayable. Before that, the machine handled everything perfectly, even in 11k+ affliction wisp maps. Would honestly love to go back to the pre-patch affliction league performance. |

One observation which may help tracking down the issue:
Closed space/underground maps (like Excavation, Vaal Pyramid) run noticeably better than open space (like Jungle Valley, Tropical Island). FPS difference is at least 2x, its very apparent when going from open part of say Burial Chambers to underground passage of it, FPS immediately rises |

Did anyone managed to solve this problem?
I have the same problem and the game is basically unplayable. POE running on: Mac Studio Chip: Apple M1 Ultra RAM: 64 GB Changing the graphic settings did not help. I even tried to lower the game resolution via Steam and still got very low FPS. |

Hi,
I'm on the old Intel and have the same issue, quite proud of reaching T16 considering the 5-10 fps, of course impossible to do any pinnacle as everything is invisible and once you see or hear the clue is too late to react and you're already dead. Hope GGG will show some love for the little Mac community in the next leagues Cheers |

Yes, still when heavy battles, already on low tiers, the fps is down to 7 or something.
M1 max, mac studio, Monterey OS, standalone client. I walk slowly and it works for me, i don't go higher up than tier 10 anyway. Apple tried to create a computer ready for gaming, well well. :D |

Agreed that fps is pathetic, even on a relatively beefy Mac Studio. Best I can usually get during maps is 10 fps, but during busy fights it drops down to 2-4 fps.
And... the graphic options for dynamic resolution are simply gone! I would happily play at reduced resolution if I only had the option. Last edited by Tunzophun#4814 on Aug 3, 2024, 1:25:36 PM

I dont find dynamic resolution, what option is that?
Render resolution? I think i have them all working on the standalone client, under the graphic options. Even the multi-threading i have enabled, if i remember someone said it was not working - not sure where i saw that. Sorry for late answer <3 |

Another thread about Mac’s not being able to run Poe that GGG hasn't responded to. Gone are the days where they are active with bug feedback
This has been going on far too long to not have a statement about it |
