Cannot interact with anything other than NPCs at Lionseye

I've only just started trying to play this game and I think I might just uninstall from this shit. Every time I use the MOVE left click skill I CANNOT interact with anyone but the beginning vendors. Can't use the boards, stash or doors to get to the coast which essentially hardlocks me from playing this game which may be a good thing if this is the shit I have to deal with in the first 30 mins of playing. I don't want to have this end up in a rant because I am very angry about this since I spent money on a pack also but I don't see how such a vital thing such as INTERACTING WITH OBJECTS IN A VIDEO GAME TO EVEN BE ABLE TO PROGRESS is difficult it should be one button press or click. the only "fix" thus far is exiting the fucking game in it's entirety and loading it back up unfortunately that just gets nullified by the need of having to walk to the door to interact with it in the first place, I found out that moving was the problem when I exited right outside the door to the coast and then just clicking on it took me there, soon as I move over to the door to test if I can go back through, I can no longer interact with anything. Baffling that a hardlock bug like this is still in the game despite it being made in 2013.

UPDATE: Issue was caused by being a silly billy remapping left click to something other than move only. seems that is the only way to get around this issue shown here: https://gyazo.com/4768d729ad01c6fd87ef5edc15ce5bee

Never had this problem in the 11+ years I've played. Probably a glitchy install. Have you tried verifying files on steam?

But 100s of thousands of people play this game every league. There is probably a very simple solution to this problem. A video would help a lot if you can make one.

I've reinstalled and verified, I don't have the ability to record a video since my PC is prehistoric. The only way I could describe the bug is that I try to use a door, stash or board of some kind and I can't seem to click on the model to interact with it after moving, only after holding down the button to move. I really don't know anything else it could have been, I didn't have this problem until I was sent back to lionseye after dying. I'm sorry I can't give anymore details than that i've literally only just started.

Concur with the other responses: this is a most unusual occurrence.

Couple Thoughts (might seem silly but hard to diagnose): make sure none of your keyboard keys are sticking. Is your mouse functioning normally outside of the game? Were you ever able to access your stash?

I can say with 100% certainty that I've never encountered this before, and you SHOULD be able to click on all those things as soon as you get into Lioneye. This is definitely NOT a game problem, but something on your system or setup.


Post in the technical support forum, you might get some immediate help if this is something that has happened to other people.

When you click breakables and chests and things while outside of town, does that work?

You can also just take a quick screenshot of your screen with your skill bar showing just to make ABSOLUTELY sure its correctly set up. Not that I don't believe you but....stranger things have happened!

Make sure lmb is the "feet" icon.

Everything worked as normal past Lionseye into the coast until I died and went back to Lionseye to sell items, only then did it happen. Before this I was able to interact with everything and had interacted with everything there at least once or twice if not several times. I was trying to change my binds to have it all on my mouse but once I saved and tried interacting it wouldn't let me interact. I figured it was the new controls but I reverted it all to default to test and it persisted. I've not had any keyboard or mouse problems outside of the game at all which would explain it if I had but as I said I haven't. I think it might be that I sometimes click both attack and move together? but I don't see how that would be an issue unless it's something I don't know about. I'll take a screenshot once i've finished verifying the files again, I want to be sure it's not because my pc is ass lmao. Sorry that this is an odd case or difficult to give feedback to if it is. Thank you for the replies thus far.

@jsuslak313 that is my exact problem but I reset the controls and ive had since I started that left click would be move only.

I have a sneaking suspicion I might know the issue but I want to be sure with the screenshot before moving forward.

It might seem silly, but I think that perhaps you don't actually have the "move only" bound to your lmb slot...if I'm wrong, then so be it, but that would explain all your issues if you have something ELSE there instead.

Only say this because its one of my biggest issues with any of my builds that utilize a lmb instant skill...I almost always need to switch it off in order to interact "correctly" with my stash and things in town.
