What's PoE's endgame? A question from Diablo 4 player

This is a follow up topic on my previous beginner thread.

What exactly is PoE's endgame?

I'm a D4 player with about 2000 hours invested in it since its launch. I am a beginner with PoE 1 and started around last week.

1. Completing T16/T17 maps? In Diablo 4, this would be Nightmare Dungeons tier 100s. So if I can complete a couple of T16/T17, can I comfortably claim my build is good, and I got my money's worth for the current league?

2. Or amassing the most currency regardless if you are stuck on white maps? No equivalence in Diablo 4 except probably for farming mats to summon Uber bosses. So in Diablo 4, you can have all the Uber uniques but be very bad at the Nightmare Dungeons Tier 80s to 90, which is probably equivalent to Tier 10 in PoE.

3. Or finishing the campaign in every league (the casual's endgame)? A lot of D4 players are okay to reach level 100 (which is far easier than you think) and be able to do World Tier 4 (kind of like Act 10 in PoE).

4. Or fighting Uber bosses (in Diablo 4 there are Uber bosses but they aren't really that difficult). From what I have read PoE Uber bosses are much, much more challenging but with good mechanics, unlike D4 where they can one-shot you regardless if you have full defense.

5. Recently Diablo 4 has released Abbatoir of Zir (AoZ), it's like an extension of Nightmare Dungeons past Tier 100 except you only have one life, and the bosses are more challenging than any Nightmare Dungeons. Think of it as T16/17 maps with increasing difficulty without significant rewards (again no significant rewards. It's really more proof of get good).

6. The problem with AoZ is it's highly experimental and has a lot of buggy mechanics. There are only two builds that can complete all tiers, and that's based against buggy mechanics and overtuned builds which will be nerfed by Blizzard next season. Actually, nerf is the wrong word. They will be fixed. Does PoE have the same problem where the most challenging endgame is only reserved for 2 to 3 builds, and they have to rely on buggy exploits?

7. Or is it PvP? For me, in D4, PvP became the endgame because NM 100 tiers had become too easy. I got 6 builds that can clear it comfortably. With AoZ, I am stuck halfway because my non-meta, non-broken build had reached its limit. At best, play without using any bugs, what I have reached is the normal expectation if you are good with the game.

8. Or is it forums? A lot of D4 players seem to spend more time debating in forums once they feel there's nothing more to do with the season (league equivalent), which often happens after 4 to 6 weeks.

And here I am playing PoE for the first time because I am done with all the things I mentioned above, lol. I felt most of the sensitive discussions in D4 forums is the comparison of D4 vs PoE 1. Yes, I am a beginner in PoE, but I am not a beginner in D4.

PoE's "end game" are several different things, Like trying to get to an insane depth in delve, for many players T16 maps are where they roll a new character primarily because getting into level 90 to 100 is a massive pain in the arse for them due to how much exp people lose to the Death penalty. another "end game" activity is trying to farm the uber bosses like Uber atziri, I dont remember how many pinnacle bosses there are but each of them are a mechanical fight. by which I mean that knowing the "tells" of the boss and responding properly generally is the most important thing,

another "endgame" for some people is getting in full teams to farm ridiculously juiced maps. in hopes of getting enough funds to do something like do an extreme build , that getting the needed dozens of divine orbs or even hundreds of divine orbs.

for many people Crafting better and better gear , learning the tricks and techniques to get the best possible dagger or armore or whatever.

the there is Delve an "Endless dungeon" type thing

just to name a few that people go for
Thanks for the response. That definitely helps a lot in seeing the big picture.
