Losing affliction spectres

I accidentaly took out item with raise spectre gem inside loosing my specters, that cost 5 divs combined. I just wanted to ask if that is the intended mechanic for those special corpses, that if you loose them in a map you can't get them back. If so i think its the showing up of the spectres in hideout only if you swap gems in town od hideout its the wierdest idea for a "fix". Thanks for replies. PS I know 5 div its not much in theory buy, I'm just so confused and want to get clarity on the subject.

If the spectres die you lose them.

If you take out the gem, the spectres will return to bodies on the ground and you can revive them as long as you dont exidently get rid of the corpse with corpse consuming effects.

took off my helmet with the gem in it to upgrade it in betrayal and the corpse/spectres poof. they do not go on the ground.

They do if You are in HO or map. They dont if You are in town.
