Returning Projectiles bugged with Frost Blades in 3.23?

It seems that the combination of Frost Blades + Returning Projectiles Support requires a wall to work in 3.23, whereas it was working unconditionally in 3.22 and earlier versions.



Setup: Frost Blades linked with Returning Projectiles Support, plus the Vengeant Cascade anoint on the amulet (giving my projectiles enough proj speed to be able to hit the target again).



In 3.22 and earlier, this exact setup was consistently causing the projectiles from Frost Blades to return to the boss/rare/target and hit him, effectively turning RPS into a 40% more multiplier for my single target damage.

In 3.23, with the exact same setup, the projectiles created by Frost Blades do not return to hit the main target unless there is a wall or obstacle behind the target.



Note that missing projectile speed can't be the culprit. While Frost Blades lost 20% proj speed from gem quality in this patch, the same behavior still occurred when I specced into the Longshot node on the passive tree.



To replicate this issue, use a neck with Vengeant Cascade and a 4-link setup of Frost Blades, Returning Projectiles, Phys to Lightning and Brutality, then go to the Coast in Act 1 and hammer away at a zombie with, and then without, a wall behind him.
