Sign of good changes
PoE is about changes. Its what makes this game alive. Stale meta is the fastest killer of the game. People wanted nerfs to overused games, new skills to play and buffs to forgotten gems. New "gem system" is exactly that.
You know how to gauge if GGG did good job and finally is about to change the meta? By amount of people crying that "their build was nerfed". The more threads like that the better update was. Im more than happy to welcome old PoE back, where every patch note could flip meeta on itsh ead and people would need to look for new build constantly instead playing same build for 76th time in a row. Good joob GGG, you did it. Last edited by Aynix on Dec 1, 2023, 6:18:02 AM Last bumped on Dec 3, 2023, 12:46:19 PM

i kinda rly dont see how builds got nerfed.so many gems got more powerful and we still dont know about alt gems and what they do well RF got shafted but still

I've never played the same build twice and I still don't like these changes.

" Right now pretty much any decent high end build utilizes helm enchants AND multiple divergent gems. Even if we now take a ship tanker load full of hopium and another tanker full of copium and assume that all the divergent qualities have been converted to transfigured gems, it would still mean that a build that previously had both a helm enchant and alt quality skill gems, now only has the transfigured gem. You can only have the power of either the enchant or the alt quality. Other lab enchants like those on boots are gone as well. So those new transfigured gems need to be borderline busted just to get even with what we used to have. Nothing is certain until we know all the trans gems but the chances of this being blanked nerfs/removals of a shit ton of builds are crazy high. Not to mention that they are forcing us to eat shit eh i mean do labyrinth in order to even get those trans gems which is like -1000000% fun right there. " i never run lab more then 4 times. so i dont care about that . i rather pay 10 divs for enchant helm then i run lab. still i dont see a big deal of nefs. like you lost 10% damage on end game mirror char ? so what. you done 200m dps now you will do 160m dps. its like drop in a becket. at the end of the day. and if you take what kind of shit this new 3 ascendancies adds it balances at least for this league. but that just me and my opinion that dont rly matter
" Ofc it won't matter to mirror tier builds with hundreds of millions of DPS. But even builds in the 10 div budget range often had helm enchants and/or alt qual or both. Aside from some meta outliers those things weren't that expensive while providing a decent amount of power. Those builds WILL notice 10% damage loss quite clearly. Honestly though, for me the biggest issue here are those blatant lies GGG is trying to feed us all the time. They keep trying to sell us nerfs as "reworks" when anyone who has a minimum amount of experience with making his own builds can tell at first sight what it actually is. If they feel like they have to nerf shit no matter what then at least be honest with it and take the backlash in stride. Halfhearted attempts at sugarcoating it only makes it worse. |

People focus on THEIR current build and dont see that new gems will creates a lot of new builds that will be new meta. We seen small portion of new gems and I already want to play half of them because of how good they are.
Jus wai for some streamer or other "good player" to make build for you. It will be fine ;) Also GGG never sells nerf as a "rework". They always said they perffer meta shakeup instead balancing. ANd most people who play PoE likes it that way. Last edited by Aynix on Dec 1, 2023, 7:37:45 AM

" They always sell nerfs as reworks. Look how they've butchered gladiator, saboteur and chieftain and called them "reworks".
" Gladiator was reowkred ages ago and right after rework people liked it, it wasnt considered nerf at all. Sure, its dead class now, but wasnt the case at the start. Saboteur wasnt nerfed either. You might like it less, maybe it was nerf for your specific build, but the class is still more than fine and my first choice for any trapper/miner. Chieftain... yeah it was nerf, but because of rework. Not always rework needs to mean buff. Rework means they change how it works and it can be either stronger or weaker. They are not "hiding" anything. They were always saying they dont like to just change numbers and call it a day. So even if they want to nerf something, they will rework it and nerf it with a rework. " you're just flat out trolling if you're playing trap builds on saboteur. the class has no dps after they removed the original perfect crime to add triggerbots. raider, trickster, elementalist, deadeye are all much stronger than saboteur for trap builds at the moment. this has nothing to do with a specific build, the class lost an entire ascendancy just so they could fit triggerbots in. mine builds are also significantly weaker after the rework because you can no longer use tremor rod on saboteur. you have to path through demo specialist to be able to allocate pyromaniac, and this is why the only viable saboteur builds are based on high-impact mine. thus, 88% of the saboteur players in the current league are high impact hexblast players. all these changes were under the ruse of a "rework" |
