Will Path of Exile 2 have Trade System?
To the best of my knowledge, GGG has not made any announcements regarding the inclusion of a Trade System in Poe2.
While the game appears impressive, it seems to have a slower pace compared to Poe1, and the introduction of the new Gold system raises questions about whether there will be a Trade System similar to Poe1 or perhaps even an Auction House. I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Would you consider playing the game without the option for trades? Last bumped on Dec 29, 2023, 11:51:14 AM

It wont change if I try it, but my main reason for quitting leagues / not buying supporter packs is when I try to trade for something like a unique I need for a build, or buy 100 delve crafting items, and its just a miserable, miserable waste of time that feels totally unnecessary.
Its designed to feel bad, it does feel bad, why would I reward that? So it wont change trying it, but if its as bad as PoE1, that would be why I wouldnt spend money on it. | |
Current Trade is godawful. GGG should do us all a favor and skip trade in PoE2. Makes little sense to bring a bottom of the barrel feature that favors bots and scammers into PoE2.

Hot take, but I think they should make trading in PoE2 harder, if not disable it entirely. PoE 1 balance is a bit of a mess because it is balanced around trading, getting everything you could ask for, for a few measly Divines.
And trading goes against the entire point of the game anyway: To grind gear. In PoE2 I hope they experiment with (not commit to, just try) systems like bound items and/or requiring gold to trade... Maybe as optional league modifiers, similar to SSF. Don't worry, the devs likely do not think the way I do on this subject. Chris loves trading, he won't let anything bad happen to it. It might not get better, but I doubt it will get worse. Last edited by D623932883 on Dec 13, 2023, 8:43:33 PM

The trade system is fine. There will never be a perfect trade system and games with bound items are lame...
I like to play self limited trade. See how far i get ssf, maybe buy a 6 link, because who wants to spend fusings... And at some point buy some fractured bases with high item lvl to be able to tackle the last 2 voidstones on my own with max suppression and such...nn trophy items...nn to compare myself to people that play and trade all day everyday and try to take advantage of everything, it's just a darrn game... But completely without trading, nah Last edited by Strickl3r on Dec 14, 2023, 1:42:41 PM

I think they should consider their own flavor of what Last Epoch will have

They should embrace the fiction.
There is no global communications network, so you have to put a message up in town and hope somebody sees it. There is only one of each character, so if you’re the Templar, no other Templars will ever be able to meet you (this is why people argue against gender selection, right, because it’s important to treat them as distinct characters?). There is only one of each unique item in the entire game system; that’s why they’re called that. People had better come with a good offer. |
