Will PoE2 have male/female options for each class?

Does anyone know whether PoE2 will allow for male/female options within each class?

Devs, could you comment please.

i doubt it
From the gameplay videos we saw so far? Nope probably not :(

i also would love to have the choice to be an attack helicopter.
I wish this was the case. Maybe your post will spur them to consider man and female for each class.
For PoE1, GGG had the plausible excuse that because there's no unified animation/rigging system for the different character models, making genderswapped versions (including animations for every skill) would be too much effort to justify the cost.

But with PoE2's swanky new animation system they keep showing off, that dog don't hunt no more. Ostensibly, one new model is all they need.

I guess they could use NPC dialogue as their new excuse to not do it? Yeah, I'm gonna guess they'll do that.

Point One: All signs point to no, they appear to be gender locked, though there are more classes per attribute than previous, increasing the odds you can pick a prefered gender.

Point Two: No, they won't here.

Given that "Exile" is pretty gender netural, I'm not sure that is a defensiable reason either. Though "We didn't feel like it" sorta is, along with "We plan to cannonize these characters down the line" also lightly is, but both are weaker. The cost to develop good models and have a voice actor for how ever many lines are needed is a limiting cost that is easy to see as low return on the product.
Probably 95%+ of people dont care because you are covered in armour and visual effects the whole time, so you would double the animations for a tiny benefit?

I guess why not let you choose the marauder skin and play as a Ranger though?

I presume far, far fewer lore-fanatics would be bothered by that.

It probably comes down to "Just dont feel like it, and Tencent isnt making us do it yet".
I actually wonder why they won't give us gender options for PoE2 if it is a separate game

I get the idea they might want to canonize us, but they can do that regardless of the gameplay
