Leech in POE 2 Idea

I know there have been a lot of internal discussions on how leech should work in POE2 and I wanted to give an idea that I keep thinking of.
one way that I think leech could work while being fairly simple and very balanced is by making leech give you flat hp logarithmically based on your single target damage, and having there be upgrades that increase the amount of enemies you can leech from at once (fairly uncommonly). I feel like you could probably scale it correctly so that it does matter if you do more damage with the attack or spell while still not making everyone leech for 100% of their life every second because people are doing millions of damage and in comparison their life/es pool is just over 5k, while still not totally invalidating leech throughout the acts. Also I wonder if POE staff read these because there is so much rage posting, I feel bad for them if they do.
for the aforementioned idea it would definitely take a lot of tuning but I think it would work a whole lot better than leeching a flat percentage. |
