Controller and Mouse/Keyboard Swapping In-Game

I would like to request the ability to change input method while in game on the PC version of PoE.
Currently, players who use both keyboard+mouse and controllers are frustrated with having to constantly switch input methods outside of the game.

I second this. I love playing on controller but managing inventory is a pain on it. It would be great if it worked like it does in D4 where as soon as the mouse moves, the input method switches.

Lets be real here: Im a stubborn GenX/Millennial, I spend money, but I have limited time. I have a laptop, desktop, and steam deck. I travel alot for work.
I use an Xbox Elite controller.

I played D2 for a bit, I hated D3, and D4 and D2Resurrected won me over once they allowed controller support.

This may make or break my ability to fully invest into the POE universe. Not the skill system or skill trees, its the controller.

I just got POE because I heard so many things about POE2 that were great, but like the OP Said, Theres no way Im going to log out and log back in to manage inventory or invest in this game realistically if there is not a fix or workaround.

You can use the mouse but you can't click?

Please at least let us know if this is planned for POE2 at a minimum or else it may be a potential hard pass for ALOT of potential future players.

I have reason to believe the surge of new people are people like me who got hooked on D4 then got nothing but disappointment.
