Honoured Tattoo of the Wise (+1 Int Skills) does NOT WORK for Explosive Trap

+1 to Level of all Intelligence Skill Gems seems to do nothing for Explosive trap. There is no increase in level of the gem in game or increase in the "Levels from Global Modifiers" in game descriptions.

Oh, I was looking at the required attributes to use it and thought it was both a Dex and Int gem. Guess only the color it sockets into is what matters?
