Does anyone know shy my GPU temperature jumps over 80 degrees when opening path of exile?

I have a NVIDIA GeForceGTX 1060 6GB video card and since 3 hours ago whenever I open path of exile, in 5 minutes maximum the temperature jumps over 80 degrees... I tried both with directx 11 and direct x 12, same issue. This is the first time I`m experiencing this.

Threads like this are making me wonder if playing this game on this state legit burn some gpus at this point.. some reports of people reaching 100c on their gpus and yet still playing.. it's wild some of this playerbase. (putting it very nice)

And OP welcome to the "updated" engine since 3.22..

Pump that shit up. Optimization is still garbage, but never saw temps rise above 60C.
Blame your GPU vendor, not GGG. The GPU must provide its full power to the game developer without being overheated.

You are blaming GGG for what? Your GPU cannot hold load that close to 95-100%? It is completely user-side issue. GGG cannot control your GPU heat generation directly, they only try to use as much of calculating power as it possible to utilize for their tasks. Blame NVIDIA/AMD or your vendor (ASUS/MSI/EVGA/Sapphire/etc) for making hot cards which unable to work at 100% load without heating as oven.

Latest patch added more calculations and that is not problem for the card if it's cooled properly. Your card is designed to work at full load unlimited time with acceptable temperature, it is about 75-80C*.
@Original poster, do not feede the trolls like the one up here. Ignore it and try to stay cool.

GGG has implemented something that indeed ramps up your card to the brink of overheating an maybe even damaging your card/cpu. I also had this overheating problem after the update. After a new Windows installment and I switched to DX12, it stopped overheating. It seems like GGG implemented something that interferes with the GPU when for example you watch a Youtube video on your other screen (if you have one). There are many posts on the forum and GGG even acknowledged it, but stays silent for the rest. All you can do is wait. There are some bandaids you want to try, but I don't recommend it.

The game and your hardware were working fine before this big patch, it's not your fault but the one that implemented this behavior.

Actual troll. There is a reason GGG acknowledged issues with the new engine and is working on fixes, and its not "your GPU's are bad". Doesn't make much sense now, does it?
