Damage numbers?

Im kind of new to the game, but i want to test my damage too see if its additive or multiplicative and such stuff. i couldnt find the option to show my damage numbers in the menu. how am i supposed to know, what stats are useful for that build what im doing? do i have to go to third party sites to get some information? im not really that kind of person who wants to watch guides and stuff. i think watching guides is a modern standard that im not understanding. i just want to play the game and figure my own stings out. i think thats more fun. so my final question is: is there any option in the game to test my damage?

There are no dmg numbers available in game.
Most players use path of building to see what's good for them. |

" You can test it by feel - just find some boss, preferably without phases, and see how fast you are killing it. Or like every normal PoE player use Pwth of Building, and it will calculate your dps. |

if you really wanna learn, you have to either study damage calculations in detail or play around a lot with path of building. the game is way to complex to display anything but barebones stuff in game
you dont need to watch guides to do this, but you need to study and experiment with 3rd party tools and wiki |

" It's a very good tool, but it also can be very overwhelming to someone that is new to the game. OP I would advise on looking up a YouTube video on Path of Building for a tutorial. Once you dive into it, it's not as daunting as it seems at first glance. |
