People under estimating Ngamahu's Flame Advance

I think this node may actually be more popular then Valako's in this league specifically. This is the node where it changes damage around your jewel sockets into fire damage.

First of all Tattoo's. Altering any damage tattoo into a fire damage on every node around a jewel socket has potential. Some sockets connect with the 30 stat nodes, there are possibilities to convert those stronger nodes into fire damage.

Then there are rare jewels themselves. I'd presume the jewel itself would convert it's damage to fire. I'm not 100% on this.

Avatar of Fire helping Cold/Lightning become fire and phys conversions to fire along with this node is going to potentially make some really strong fire builds this league with the Tattoo's plus Jewel conversions.

I wrote this node off because of that unique jewel that we've had in the past. But that jewel was Medium radius and had stats set in stone. Obviously we don't know the extent of what stats are on Tattoos but I have a good feeling about this node.

Even in SSF, I think I'll be league starting chieftain and taking this node.

Also worth noting that it now adds 3 strength to every small passive and notable in radius which should be quite the boon to anyone planning on strength stacking.

Ahh yes, I forgot that addition. Even if not strength stacking, it will still net you enough stats to wear your gear if your converting your str nodes into other stuff.
The use case for this node is you have a lot of flat fire damage and like more strength.

What has a lot of flat fire damage and likes more strength? Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler and other fire based strength stackers.

When you’re in this situation, you can convert some of the weapon nodes to actually apply to you. Of course then you have to choose between the seven link and the 90 all res node…
I thought the same thing that there is an opportunity to transform tattoos until someone pointed out the the wording specifically states increases and reductions, and tattoos seem to be added flat damage.

Until we get patch notes we won’t really know.

Patch notes went up last Thursday/Friday.

That's quite right as far at that tattoo goes. We'll have to see what we can actually get both in the regular nodes and the 30 pointers. I'm sure there are tons of these to get.

This one was also where I went straight away, I felt kind of funneled towards Brutus's lead sprinkler tbh.

Back when the game was much less power creeped you coulda done a busting oro's sacrifice build with it too but these days thats seen as garbage.
3 str per notable isn't better than the 10% he had before even if you somehow got 200 str from allocating 69 passives near jewels. It's not terrible. But it's way worse than before.

In fact that's the whole issue with these reworks. We get a whole lot less than before. It happened to every single one they do.

In fact cheiftan and gaurdian are nearly 100% identical in ruthless and standard. Really. After every other clasd gets nearly a 50% reduction in ruthless, these two are the same. Why?

Because they want to.

They could double the stats for cheiftan and it would still be weak compared to most other classes.

But it is not unplayable. The class just doesn't feel like it has a cohesive identity. Things conflict with each other. Like you have a dot build that gets bad dps increases while stationary, weak explode that doesn't help clear. Taunt totems with no health, that heal you. Melee nodes that don't interact with each other. Fire conversion in the tree without any for gems. If ngamahu had 50% of ALL damage converted to fire in addition it would be big. I think people would pog out.

Just my thoughts.
Yeah the ruthless thing was a head scratcher. They butchered all the classes except those two..

Any who, the 3 str that you get isn't really the point. I was mainly refering to the potential of the tattoo's and just regular rare jewels having some big power here. Stat stackers might be in a bad spot this league since you actively remove your stats with tattoo's. The 3 str does however give you a boost to wear gear which is a nice bonus.

It's really just something to pay attention to when we find out what power we can gain from this new league.
