Deep learning super sampling. Nvidias AI-protocol to upscale games. VERY handy in most situations - if you own an Nvidia GPU. AMD's version is called FSR, and while it's associated with and developed by AMD, it's more of an open source alternative.

DLSS is a framework for frame generation, nvidia's specifically. There have only been tools to handle all 3 frame generation frameworks at the same time available for like 5 months if that. Also since they've basically reached the end of improvements in that technology so it might be logical to wait for all of them to normalize. XeSS, DLSS, and FSR are all super interesting tech but honestly I don't know how viable they are for POE1.

if warframe did DLSS plus fsr this game would perfectly ok with these stuff.

I really care. It's pretty amazing tech, makes a huge difference in performance.

You are talking about DLSS3. DLSS2 and FSR2 would help POE tremendously. I dont know about XeSS.

Since the forum had fud in other topics I while chime in from both a modders or benchmarking enthusiast viewpoint.

The tech is helpful if the renderer isn't already under strain. It will help a game gpu bound the most. It can help cpu bound titles but that is largely case by case something like forza or starfield won't scale even like the ascent, diablo 4 (even if it sucks) or shooters have that use it all are cpu bound regardless.

It will make minimums better than native rendering

it will require 20-40% in proper formats to achieve native like quality and will get better if one is allowed to increase the sale vs native.


Dlss 1 and 2 are largely for upscaling

Dlss 3 is that upscaling and frame generation something you will only get on a 4xxx card or the upcoming next generation nintendo console

Dlss 3.5 is a denoiser tech that lets all games with RT get more performance from it.

it has many benefits

POE2 and eventually POE1 should support DLSS as it can in various forms, XESS cause it better than FSR2. FSR2 should be minimum cause it can be use on many cards despite the fact it flaws but is largely used for performance not cause people want IQ. If you want IQ super sampling in the tech really helps it out.

The real question is should native or nearly decade old gpus be holding this game back as we go forward?
