api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-2-0.dll missing - Last patch issues.

Running Win 7 x64 bit.

Since our last big 6 GB update, I've had this error message pop up during game load screen. I click ok a couple times and the game will continue to load and play.

Upon finish loading, game graphics is very pixelated and blurry - switching between hyper blurry and hyper sharp. This only occurs if GPU settings are set to high. I am running Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti 11GB. If I turn down GPU settings, game plays normally without the blurriness or hyper sharpness. Must turn down all GPU settings.

I tried updating Visual Studio to newest versions for Win 7 plus also installing its universal versions but the error message still remains.

I have downgraded all my graphics settings so the game is playable, albiet the error message still pops up everytime during game loading. Clicking ok simply bypasses the error message.

Is there any solution to this? I tried downloading the missing .dll and putting it into my system32 folder but than a different error message pops up - something about not being able to fetch something and the game just shuts itself off.

Seems I'm having the same issue with my system.

She's an older PC.
CPU - Intel i5-3570 3.4GHz
RAM - 16 GB DDR2
GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 950

Have never had this issue previously through the years I've had this game. Perhaps tied to the new update pushing the rendering priorities around?

My home PC also has Visual Studio as it's also my programming PC. Unsure that's related but knowing how development goes it probably is...

Cheers chaps!

We have determined that we cannot fix this error on our end, as we cannot supply that .dll file via the client.
You'll need to update your Windows install or find a way to acquire that .dll file.

It's a Windows 7 and 8 issue, supposedly tied to DX11. You can try using Vulkan for rendering instead. It's likely that in anticipation for PoE 2 they're phasing out any support for anything other than Windows 10+.
Yes 1-2-x is for windows 10 while 1-1-x is a windows 8 and under file whatever they did i assume requires you to be on 10+

I have had the same problem went through all this and more and yah nothing that can be done accept to update unless they fix it in a patch which i am hoping but i dont think so.

But yah apart from that vulkan is what im forced to use.

A few things i suggest for you which kinda helped me.

Make sure the shader cache are actually being saved to your SSD mine somehow ended up on my main drive which is an HDD even thou i reinstalled the game on an SSD.

Delete old shader cache folders

go to your poe directory and run packcheck.exe

disable Engine Multithreading this stabalized the stutter for me and i am told it was never ment for windows 7 so it really never worked correctly to begin with.

same with triple buffering disable it.
Hopefully it will be playable with Vulkan...
