The state of availability of physical goods in Supporter Packs
I kinda just want to vent my frustration here, also I'm curious, if I'm just unlucky or this is the norm and what others have experienced.
I've now been waiting 4 Months for my physical goods of my supporter packs. There is still no disclaimer on the supporter packs that physical goods are uber unavailable. Messaging Support does nothing and the response boils down to "issues with distributor" or "¯\_(ツ)_/¯". Reading about the Merch at exilecon, also felt like a giant middle Finger smeared across my face. It will absolutely effect my decision making the next supporter pack series comes around. I want to support the game I love and don't mind spending a little extra for some merch, but this feels awful, last year it took about a month from ordering to receiving my order, which is nothing to write home about, but also not terrible. This year, in my opinion, is unacceptable, offering merch without any idea when it will ship or even an disclaimer on availability issues, is just bad business. it can take up to 6 months or longer. in some cases it will never come. GGG wont do refunds or even chase up what happened. in their mind after the package leaves their office its no longer their responsibility. i would not order physical goods until something changes.

" I did, like I said, it's my second time ordering a pack with physical goods and the first time everything went well, but now and after reading all the other stories (still can't believe some of those stories, just from this supporter pack series alone) I'll definitely won't order another one, the physical merch on the higher tiers of packs, was the appeal for me, but the incapability displayed here, taught me a lesson. It's just so sad, even 1 man Indie Developers operating out of their mothers basement manage to distribute their merch better. |
