Ping Spike Issues
I'm running into a series of severe ping spike issues making the game unplayable all today (7/12/2023). The issues are NOT client side from what I can tell. Here's what I've observed.
Whenever I am encountering an issue, my ping randomly spikes from its normal resting position of 20-30ms to 1000+ every couple seconds. Ping bursts are at their most intense and drawn out during combat and during enemies spawning (such as during Harvest). Highest that I've seen a spike is 12k. The ping spikes are seemingly random between hideout, maps, and world zones. I have encountered the ping spikes even when going from hideout (suffering from ping spikes) to a map (NOT suffering from ping spikes) back to hideout (no longer suffering from ping spikes). I have had maps run perfectly normally and upon entering a harvest area, ping spikes make it unplayable. I tried entering Blood Aqueduct in Act IX, and it was flooded with ping spikes. On my end, I have checked/done the following: 1. Ran tracking ping tests to various servers. My ping was perfectly normal and low. 2. Made an exception in my firewall for this game. 3. Flushed DNS 4. Changed server that I'm connecting to on login to POE (tried Washington DC, my normal one, Texas, and California. 5. Tried other games to check for ping spikes. No ping spikes. 6. Updated graphics drivers. 7. Updated windows. 8. Yelling. Unsurprisingly, didn't work. Everything here points to a game issue, not a me issue, as none of the above made any impact on the severity of ping in POE. My computer is definitely not the problem, as I've run extremely intensive builds on this game for months and never had graphical issues. Also this is exclusively a ping issue, and not a graphical issue. The zones suffering from ping issues are encountered in about every 1/3 of zones I step into. If it's a map, the map is bricked. Sometimes hideout works fine and sometimes it doesn't. What the hell is going on? EDIT: Also tried disabling firewalls entirely. " GGG normaly ask that you provide a 300+ packet WinMTR report to the instance IP where this happend WHILE it happend including screenshots on the ingame graph system. Also what PoE gateway are you using and what others have you tried ? |

" Like I said in the post, I tried the Washington DC gateway, the Texas gateway, the California gateway, and after the post, the Frankfurt gateway. As for the WinMTR report, the issue seems to have subsided for now. If it resumes, I'll attach the report. I was unaware that such a report was required. |

VERY STRANGE.
For the last 30 minutes i've had 3000 ms ping. I logged in to take a screenshot of it but now the lag is gone and normal latency has resumed. It happened around 1 AM western pacific time if that means anything to any network guy at GGG I should mention, about an hour later after these ping spikes my ISP went out for a few minutes. " I have been trying tp play this game for the past few days and have had the same issues as quoted. I have installed the game twice through my Steam account and have tried all the suggested Tech Support suggestions, even from non PoE websites. I have gone through and changed each setting individually in game and at the login screen to see if I can find what is causing the issues for me. I have recorded three individual WinMTR events as well as copied my Production_Config and my Steam Client Logs. |

Does anyone ever read these posts?
I have been trying to play this game and I am still having the same issues. How do I get in touch with someone about technical support https://pastebin.com/k9Dxh2Wf#6efKfQTd https://pastebin.com/gLv7z7JD https://pastebin.com/eJ0hx7i3 |

" Looking at your WinMTR results shows that you are getting packet loss between your PC and modem/router for starters. Have you done a full power-cycle on it recently? Leave it off for at least 10 minutes. If you still have problems, can you use/borrow a different modem/router? It could be a failing router causing the issues. 😹😹😹😹😹 I do not and will not use TFT.
