Blood Altar bug

If you add an incorrect item like a chest piece. You cannot remove it and correct the recipe. I cannot complete the quest due to not understanding how to use it

there are valid crafts for that item slot... you should be able to remove it still though.
quest doesn't add anything special to the altar so it doesn't lock anything in place. |
