Hidden / Base stats on Gear?

Just looking for some gear and wanted the highest ES.

And i wonder why between 2 Items with the same Level, the one with the lower increased ES has the higher endresult.

Since there is no quality involved and the 3 more Dex mean shit, there must be a hidden stat?

When i sort for highest base percentile, the top result is an absurd low ES and average Cold damage.
So whats the miracle here?
Im bad at math.

It's not hidden and it's even visible in your screenshot.

Every item base with AR/EV/ES has a range it can roll for AR/EV/ES. This value can be changed with "Sacred Orbs". This was introduced in patch 3.16 (scourge league).
Armours have their defense stat roll in a range now. Their roll within that range is referred to as "Base Percentile", and I think "Perfection" in the filter syntax.

Base Percentile can be rolled on a (non-Corrupt) item using Sacred Orbs.

The total defense on the item, in the case of Hyrri's Ire, will be based on the Base Percentile, the roll on the explicit %increased Evasion Rating modifier, and the quality.

The Base Percentile has more of an effect with a higher roll on the %increased Evasion Rating. You can view a high Base Percentile roll, in comparison to a low roll, as working like a +flat Evasion Rating modifier.
Ok, didnt knew the that Orb thing, so thats nice. Thx

But how is this related to the endresult, when this 100% item is worse?

Im bad at math.

Zodiac Leather is 854 base Evasion Rating with a 0% base percentile, and 982 with a 100% base percentile.

Hyrri's Ire has an explicit %increased Evasion Rating roll with a range of 140% to 220%.

A 0% base percentile Hyrri's Ire with 30% quality and 220% increased Evasion Rating has 2989 evasion rating.
A 100% base percentile Hyrri's Ire with 30% quality and 174% increased Evasion Rating has 2986 evasion rating.

An item with moderately good rolls for both the explicit %increased mod and the base percentile will have higher total Evasion Rating than an item with one rolling high and the other rolling low.
Here's the item base with it's roll range:

First Hyrri's in this thread has a base of 84% or 961 Ev:

961 Ev * 3.13 (213% incr. evasion) = 3008 Ev.

Second Hyrri's with 45% or 912 Ev:

912 Ev * 3.18 (218% incr. evasion) = 2900 Ev.

Third Hyrri's with 100% or 982 Ev:

982 Ev * 2.82 (182% incr. evasion) = 2769 Ev.
The World is easier with math, hu?
Sucks for me. Shouldve stayed with halo ;)

Thx guys
