Glacial Cascade + Ice Nova

So Crucible passive gives Level 20 Ice Nova to Glacial Cascade. Is there any way to scale Ice Nova? Does my regular +Ice Damage, spell damage apply to this Trigger spell?

It sounds very cool to get a free Level 20 Ice Nova. lol

The triggered spell would indeed benefit from every bonus that could apply to it - added flat damage to spells from your Herald of Ice, Increased Cold Damage from your passive tree, your Increased Spell Damage from the implicit of your Wand.

That Ice Nova would not, however, benefit from anything that supports your Glacial Cascade, since the "Triggers Level 20 Ice Nova" bonus comes from something that is not an equipped item - which means support skill gems can't reach it

I see. So basically it's a level 20 "unsupported" spell. Is it worth it you think?

It does benefit from skill gems in the wand that has the ice nova

Ice Nova is in crucial passive that is triggered by Glacial Cascade. What do you mean from the wand?

You have crucible item that has the trigger Ice Nova.
If you put gems to that item that has the trigger ice nova it gets those support gems.

It DOES NOT benefit from gems linked to Glacial Cascade

Oh..that's very cool. So if I have Cold Penetration support, it benefits both GI and Ice Nova right? That's almost like having two skills in one!


By the way, do you know if Crucible passive that has reduced Attack speed but +critical, does the +critical affect Spell too or only Attacks?

Affects only that weapon so only attacks with that weapon.
