Shroud of the lightless: where's the 5 link!? Not Cool GGG Many builds deleted (historic bow buff)

as the title asks, where is the 5 socket 1 abyssal variant of the shroud of the lightless?

We've also taken the opportunity to revisit Abyss Unique Items, and have made the following changes:

The Shroud of the Lightless Unique Body Armour no longer has 6-10% increased maximum Life, 9-15% increased maximum Mana, or "Socketed Gems are supported by level 25 Elemental Penetration. Instead, it now has 3% increased maximum Life per Abyss Jewel affecting you, 3% increased maximum Mana per Abyss Jewel affecting you, and Penetrate 4% Elemental Resistances per Abyss Jewel affecting you. There are also now 2- and 3-Abyssal Socket variations of Shroud of the Lightless.

As the patch notes say there is also 2 and 3 socket variants, where is the one abyssal socket variant?

It did not say there are now two variants, it said there are also now a 2 and 3 socket variant.

This undocumented change has stopped me dead in my tracks, Please look into it.. thanks.

Edit: i severely hope this is just an oversight or its rarity is extremely high because otherwise its been made that much harder if not impossible now to take advantage of this piece of gear if you are not using a 2handed weapon.

If this is how things are and you simply misspoke in the patch notes then i really have to request you add 1 more version with just 1 socket

Edit2: just wow i literally almost threw up i became so ill when i found out they actually removed the 5link, This is a change that deletes many builds archetypes from the game, these builds can not function without the 5link while using a 1handed weapon.. There are not enough links available.

But it's pretty clear by reading the patch nodes that 2 and 3 sockets are just the new standard for sockets. Else they would have listed 1 socket as well as variation lol


The two socket version already existed pre rework so it's not a new variant at all btw

Still they didn't say it was removed, they worded it as if it were still in the game.

The item is ruined now for anyone that already didn't synergize heavily with it and the elemental support within, by taking the 5 links away you've essentially gutted the item unless using ul netol which is a niche chase item and not use-able in all builds.

What they did and what they said are not matching up here, its in their quote lol.

Seriously GGG you literally deleted builds from the game with this change.

Main GEM + (I'm required to use Empower) + (I'm required to use feeding frenzy) + Minion Damage

like holy cow, thats not a build.. thats support minion.
(I primarily do minion builds, not exclusively with this item)

Edit:
I got the kirac pass & tormentor packs specifically for this, Despite many decisions GGG has made some errors in their communicating some of those changes to the game is going in a good direction but this change is not a good direction, it too adversely affects too many builds that were already struggling with this item as well as renders my purchases unusable for their original purpose.

Please GGG can you comment? Am i supposed to use a bow now for my melee/minion hybrid build?

This is a joke, The damage done to builds that used this item.. There is no workaround or fix not even throwing money at it will solve this.

Please GGG can you comment on what you're going to do about the builds you just DELETED?

I mean... this is what happens when uniques get reworked... it bacame a self use only item to as the ele pen is no longer a support... but if you stack abyss jewels its stronger than ever.

if you don't use a 1handed weapon or have a freaking squire maybe its fine ;/

Also i posted exactly why 5link removal literally deleted builds, some builds are so jank that they require 2-3 stupid support gems that don't do almost anything just to function and then we don't get a modifier on top of it.

This is not ok, Please say something GGG.

My faith in you is being absolutely crushed here, Maybe i couldn't afford every support pack over the years but i sure hell gave you everything i could.
