MTX chessboard and parrot

I'm on PS5 and have the chessboard in our guild hideout but cannot move pieces and if a piece has moved it will not be able to be placed on the board correctly. Also anyone playing a Juggernaut and their parrot mtx doesn't talk?

So the parrot was a simple toggle of the game play event voices in the sound options...

Has anyone else tried to play chess with any success on console? It just sits in the middle of our guild hideout between to waypoint and map device and I have to walk passed it every day.
