I placed a divine vessel in the map device, along with the lighthouse map in order to capture Bin'Aia. After completing the map, the vessel disappeared and no soul had been captured. I captured the entire experience on video and will happily upload it to YouTube if you need to see proof of the experience.

Yeah, the boss doesn't always spawn apparently-_-. It's in the known issues in the PC bug thread.
