Problem with linked skills

Hi there, i have a problem... I'm following this guide https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/freezing-pulse-turrets-totem-hierophant-passive-skill-tree-gem-links but i have this problem..

When i make these 4 gems (linked) i can't use creeping frost and sniper's mark..

"Making Use of Bonechill
The build is running an Arcanist Brand wand to proc Creeping Frost Creeping Frost and Bonechill! Now due to guide is updated to 3.21 someone could tell me why and help me to fix this please?

Also even if all these 4 are linked, is normal that i have creeping frost in a slot and sniper's mark in another one? both not usable..

You need to cast Arcanist Brand:

so i can remove creeping frost and sniper's mark from 2 slots?

But if is it, why on my arcane brand spell i dont see any linked effect? I mean letter on it..

Bonechill must be linked to Creeping Frost.
Creeping Frost must be linked to Arcanist Brand.
Sniper's Mark must be linked to Arcanist Brand.

In conclusion, you need to setup the four-link exactly as he mentioned:
Arcanist Brand
Creeping Frost
Bonechill Support
Sniper's Mark

When you see a boss, cast Arcanist Brand near the boss. The brand will attach to the boss. Once attached, the brand will cast Creeping Frost and Sniper's Mark on the boss automatically for you. However, it uses your mana. If you have no mana, the brand won't do anything. The brand will also disappear after a few seconds then you have to cast again.

So do u mean that i need to link even sniper's mark to arcanist?

Correct. Now the only thing left to do is to cast Arcanist Brand on the ground where your enemies, especially bosses, stand.

Just to be clear, the order of the gems generally aren't important EXCEPT the order of the triggered spell gems, namely Creeping Frost and Sniper's Mark. Arcanist would trigger linked spells in order, starting from the topleft most spell skill. It doesn't matter where you insert Arcanist Brand and Bonechill.

Personally, I would prioritize Creeping Frost because it covers a bigger area and is more important to firstly apply bonechill only large groups of trash mobs. You can never apply marks to more than one enemy at a time. It is designed for single-target. Marks are also permanent so it is redundant to apply more than once on the same enemy, unless you want to "mark" another enemy instead. They also consume a lot of mana so you want them to trigger as little as possible. Preferably the mark is triggered only once throughout the 3 seconds that the brand is attached on an enemy.

Since we are using Arcanist as a utility rather than dealing damage, I would also keep my Arcanist Brand at Lvl 1 so that it consumes as little mana as possible.

So the order of how u put gem would be

Creeping frost,
Bonechill support
Sniper's Mark
Arcanist

Is it correct? Because i have (as posted before with picure) 3 blues and last is green...

P.s. maybe i made confusion, but linked items i posted via image is fully linked? because i've never seen 4 linked gems making a square...

In the picture you posted, it shows all the sockets are fully linked. There isn't anything more you need to do.

The order you proposed is good, but normally this isn't how we describe the order to another person. We don't say
1. topleft
2. topright
3. bottomleft
4. bottomright

The correct way to describe the order is to follow the direction of the links. In your picture, that means
1. topleft
2. topright
3. bottomRIGHT
4. bottomLEFT

So in your picture, we should say the green socket is the last socket and Sniper's Mark would be socketed there (which is perfect because then it comes after Creeping Frost).

It is fine if you have upgraded your Arcanist Brand. If you're still interested to get a Level 1, just buy another one from Lilly Roth (Act 6 town or your hideout) or Siosa (Act 3 - Library).

(There are other ways to downgrade the gem but you don't have to know about them at this stage of learning the game.)
