Failed to connect to instance

A few people have this problem. Since forever...... it seems.
My ISP's IP Range has a weird routing after their upgrade recently, it can not be fixed by them, impossible, it is on a higher level and those people do not fix it. So the only way i have to play POE is to but a VPN. (which i have to pay now to play POE)

You are the ONLY game out there i know that has this problem when changing instances or overall. I have zero issues anywhere else.
Which should really give you the reason to think about it.

i want to add:
i can work around by Alt-Click opening a new instance when changing zones (alt click on entrance to new zone). i can 90% never use the given first instance. but it seems to work ok by always opening an additional new one.

But...
i can not do this when entering a map on the map device!

And as a whole it is very frustrating (imagine forgetting to alt-click and loosing all progress of the zone and having to walk the whole way again every time)

(so.. for now still using a VPN)

Well as yourself state, your ISP have done changes to their traffic routes making this problem. GGG have no control over that.
The ISP is 100% in control about who they make traffic peering point with and how they route traffic.

hm it is not really routing like that, i am not an expert, but it also involves registration of that IP Range and their location. For example my location on whois is always going back and forth between my country and Norway! every few seconds. That has to do with RIPE? not sure. or some higher up admin stuff that do not fix it. Believe me my ISP tried for a year now to get them to change their entries.

The thing is, i am not the only one here in the past having that kind of problem (i am refering to the instance error), which may for course be the error on my end... but... all other games and all other internet services run just fine!
Except PoE.
That is why i want to bring this up, first, i am not the only one with that issue, and hoping they have some way of a quick fix maybe (but people tried in the past, so, hey, here goes some hope at least)
