I cannot believe how bad Tormented Spirits remain in current year

Turn the aggression knob up 1000%.
Turn the speed knob up 100%.
Turn the intelligence/seeking knob up 1000%.

Or remove them from the game.

I know you want them so bad because D3 has loot goblins, but they aren't incredible in that game, and they are atrocious in this game by comparison.

Most dead mechanic in PoE currently. Which GGG still tries to keep alive for some reason. The only excuse for their existence is "First 3 posessed rare monsters drop gilded scarab" with Seance notable. If you allocated something nearby anyway. And you got a lot of these sextant mods. Seance is needed to guarantee sextant requirement.
Instead we got gutted beyond and harvest. And now also breaches.

why does every mechanic needs to be either super rewarding or removed?
there will always be stuff that's worse than the good choices.

ghost hunting has been fun but when the videos came out how professionals used the tech to maximise their gain, i nearly lost interest in playing.

I'll answer that question with another question: Why does there need to be "worse" choices?

If GGG slaps on atlas passives with the idea of you utilizing them, perhaps it would be nice if whatever mechanic they're attached to was worth investing in. There's a few old leagues that happen to have this problem such as Metamorph or Ritual, but Torment has it the worst. At least with Metamorph and Ritual, they tend to have some kind of reward (albeit not much) improvement when you invested into the passives. Meanwhile Torment lives and dies on passives and a sextant.

And if that's the case, why even bother putting that much effort into making them worthwhile when there's other leagues you could invest in that would give better rewards for time and effort put into them?

GGG either needs to buff Torment to be worth investing passives into without depending on a sextant, or just replace them with Sentinel.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

I was certain Sentinel was going to replace Torment and yet it didn't.

Please remove them!

1k+ hours and I have zero idea what a single modifier they add does. The bonus is increased rares drops, when my entire screen is covered in filtered rare drops at any point playing the game.
