League Supporter Pack Coin Discount?

Hello,
I'm new to the game, I start playing recently and got really hooked on. I'm planning on buying some currency, so I can get currency stash and premium stash while they are on discount, but after checking prices of coins, I noticed that buying supporter pack is better than buying coins alone. So I checked all supporter packs and to be honest I don't like neither of them except for the really pricey one that I for sure won't buy! And after some research, I found this message from 7 years ago that stated if I buy coins alone, the supporters pack will be discounted by the amount of coins I bought. So my question is does it still works like that or was it some “time event” and if it does work do the discount have some time limit, or will I keep it until next league support pack show up? It still works like that. The only thing to keep in mind is that it will only be effective for as long as the "season" goes on. As soon as a new league starts, the "discount" will go away.
IIRC it's up to 80% of the value of the point packs. " That's not quite right. You get credited for 100% of the cost of the points packs, but any time you perform an upgrade, you must pay at least 20% of the total cost of the pack you are upgrading to. So if you buy $30's worth of coins, an Ancestral Lithomancer pack will cost ($60 - $30 =) $30. Thanks Sarno. Been ages since I did an "upgrade" option and my head hurts too much for me to read the fine print... :/
