Prismatic Burst Feedback

So a few immediate problems with the Prismatic Burst support.

1) You cannot completely turn off other elements. Even at 1k dex with 40 str and intel there is still roughly a 0.15% chance for each of the other elements to proc. Please make a reasonable threshold where this becomes 100% so we can properly specialize. Presently its a very weird case of stat stacking that doesn't fully payoff, like have a 99% chance to hit with a permanent 1% chance to miss. The threshold also shouldn't require such immense stat investment unless you intend to make the support gain additional damage with stat investment.

2) It really needs charges similar to impending doom. When you paired it as the scion's starting support that's truly what I was expecting. This will allow it to clear properly while requiring additional hits for single target. Perhaps starting at 2 and then gaining a 3rd charge in later levels.

3) If the second problem isn't addressed then it needs an increase to base damage.

I may add to this later but that's my immediate impressions.

this skill is lacking in so many places. Its damage is to low, aoe is low, CD is way to high, no charges.... you cant do anything super interesting due to the precise wording on it. It feels awful at low levels, doesnt feel good at high levels.

It might feel okay if you get it on a shako with slvl of 35.

Honestly it just kinda feels bad.

Base Damage is underwhelming and already requires a trigger out of your links.

Unlike other prismatic skills it *can* choose the same element twice in a row, which forces you out of Elemental Equilibrium.

And then the 100% less of non chosen damage types is calculated *before* conversions, making a possible str->avatar of fire build useless, and even stacking flat or added damage useless, unless you stack one attribute and its respective damage type only.

I honestly believe it needs either a base damage/scaling buff, OR even better make the 100% less apply after conversions, and maybe add an additional tag that makes conversions x% less effective or something if you're worried about its potential damage output.

Edit: skill would also be interesting if we had access to flat spell damage per X attribute, but iirc that's just available for attacks so..

So far the only EE method I've thought of to use it with is explosive concoction since its base fire, then take a Cobat Focus jewel to prevent fire. Elsewise yea it's fairly wonky.

To further the issue, Combat Focus are really bad jewels to begin with for the simple reason that they demand BOTH stats, meaning there are only 4 locations on the tree to even use them which is straight bad design. Why do 3 "skills" require two jewels in 2/4 locations to make it single elemental viable?

To help with the above I think Combat Focus should only require 40 of "one" state in range, not both. This would solve one issue with all 3 skills as a starting point.

Has it been reworked? Or why are you complaining.

I just started a new build with:
* cobra lash
* prismatic burst
* added chaos dmg
* added cold dmg

that in a thunderfist for added lightn. dmg created crazy dmg without any other good item. all you need is global crit.

it started as a mostly poison build, but now I can see it working extremely well.

+dmg is linked to cobra lash and to prismatic burst, so double the effect


edit: I built it as assassin, so main attributes are dex+int

One way to scale damage is Spiritual Aid which works for both, attacks and spells.
