8/8 Ruthless?

I am concerned about the mention of challenges in Ruthless, and the possibility that it will have its own set of exclusive mtx rewards. GGG has said Ruthless is a side project (i.e. not even considered an alternate mode like HC), and years ago GGG already had the insight to remove separate SC/HC requirements in achieving challenge rewards.

If Ruthless has exclusive mtx rewards, this is a step backwards from the lessons GGG had learnt before.

Just like HC and SC used to have different rewards because they are different in terms of difficulty, how is giving people that go through hell and play ruthless with some form of reward a bad thing? You could argue in the past HC and SC basically have the same difficulty and game minus the risk of dying, but ruthless is a completely different beast altogether. I think this alone justifies some form of visual reward to show it off.

If you know this then you should know why GGG themselves changed the system such that HC and SC both share the same challenge rewards today. They do not want people to have to choose HC and/or SC based on the league challenge rewards. They have said that even if HC is more difficult, it is the player's choice to do.

Rewarding Ruthless separately is a step back from this philosophy. And is especially more so given Ruthless isn't even considered a "main" alternative mode like HC.

Additionally, GGG determined that there was a lot of extra overhead in creating MTX for the hardcore league, when significantly fewer players engaged with it. Basically, it was a poor use of resources.

Yet here we are, once again. It's a concerning harbinger of where they want to take the game.

Or they now have more resources so they can bring back the old model.

I hope it has exclusive mtx rewards.

Honestly with how malding yall get I hope it's got some sick exclusive mtx, would be fun to watch the meltdowns.

My money is on 8/8 will have the same rewards as 38/40, except the totem would be different. I really doubt they will create new armor sets for ruthless.
