Uber Sirus mess with an arena

I had a fight vs uber Sirus and at some point he just went somewhere and refused to use any skills or appear any closer.
Since I am playing melee and I was not able to burst him down in few seconds - arena was covered with ground degen.

It was impossible to get to closer to him without entering degen.

Is it really intended behavior that relative low dps characters are not able to kill him at all since whole arena is covered in degen?

Yes, it is intended.

Uber bosses were made to challenge the most busted characters/gear, not for practically any character to win. It looks like you are going in with less than 500k uber dps (on a reasonable number of trauma stacks to land on Sirus) on a melee character, which is basically suicide.

In my opinion if whole arena is covered in degen, that is just bad game design.
It would be ok if there is a way to get to Sirus without entering degen, but there was no.

Next step is to have wall with a storms where you have to have tanky enough character just to pass it, so you can fight boss. Its just silly.

Switched to poison srs (still on the jug) and killed Uber Sirus without a problem.
That is "awesome" experience when non ranged builds are trash vs ubers.

Ubers aren't really supposed to be 'fair', but I do agree that Sirus' arena design leaves something to be desired. I also agree that melee is in a bad spot because of things like this.
