Ignite with echoforge + original sin not working [solved]
echoforge = deal no non chaos damage
ignite = fire damage original sin = convert ele to chaos damage result = NO IGNITE (there are many ways to allow chaos to ignite, 3 from the top of my head) argument: echoforge says deal no non chaos damage thus ignite should deal no damage counter point: setup above + anger = increased DPS (fire converted to chaos success!) this leads me to believe theres something wrong its not consistant. anger's flat damage can be converted but ignite is cannot. Damage conversion is the type of mechanic that applies to hits, but does not apply to damage over time.
Ignite deals Fire Damage over Time. You cannot change it from dealing Fire damage. The unique ring Blackflame changes the Ignite damage enemies take from Fire to Chaos. However, it's notably not converting the type of damage you deal, so you're still dealing Fire damage...it's just making them take it as Chaos damage. Long story short: you cannot ignite with [Edit] I meant to say "with Echoforge", but got mixed up and put the wrong name. Last edited by Jadian#0111 on Mar 6, 2023, 11:22:24 PM

" Since I screwed up on the short version before: I meant "with Echoforge". I think you can ignite with Original Sin and Blackflame so the enemies take it as chaos damage. Echoforge was the part making it ignite not work. Last edited by Jadian#0111 on Mar 6, 2023, 11:59:28 PM

" oh lol, i felt your explanation made sense so i didnt really process your mistake. yeah you're right on that. original sin and black flame works. actually original sin and anything else that grants ignite MINUS echoforge/starforge/void manipulation works [Removed by Support]
