Kalandra's Touch cannot be anointed - limiting blight ring anoints to 1 per character with this ring

As per the Wiki https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Kalandra's_Touch :

"

It cannot itself be anointed, even through the use of a Reflective Oil
. Although, if the ring in the opposite ring slot has been anointed, Kalandra's Touch will copy that enchantment.

It seems that this is how Kalandra's Touch currently works. Was this intended?

This makes it hard for builds using this item to do blights since you cannot use 2 synergistic blight ring anointments.


If this was intended feel free to close this issue. But as it stands many builds that use Kalandra's Touch have to choose to not do blights as they are much more difficult without the second anointment.

Sure that is one way to make the best of a bad situation.

But that still doesn't resolve the issues of:

1) If this was an intended effect? (Because now Kalandra's Touch is indirectly influencing blight)

2) The ability to use 2 anoints to allow you to customize your blight experience. (As not all builds are blight optimized. My build is a generalist build. And I enjoy blight from time to time as a change of pace.)

I imagine it's intended given you mirror the annoint on the other ring. Otherwise you'd end up with 3 annoints. If you enjoy blight so much, why do you find this ring to be mandatory? Unless your other ring is mega expensive (generally a mirror-tier ring), this ring isn't even that good. And if your other ring IS mega-expensive, not sure why you can't afford to gear your character enough to render the annoint trivial.

i cant speak for the devs but to me it would seem intended. it gives you your other ring slot twice, that can make a blight enchant worthless because theres no need to double it and ur missing out on a stat because of that. sure. same goes for curse on hit right? if you got a curse on hit ring, and you double it, that stat is now wasted on the doubled version.


its a powerful unique but its not universal. i also think if u can afford the unique ring and a second ring worth using in the other slot, just spend that little extra and get a ring swap for blights if you want that meteor burning ground + chill tower freeze combo or whatever it is ur going for.

Kalandra's Touch by design mimics the other ring and is not supposed to have own modifiers.
