Maven's Invitation: The Twisted - Disconnected to Login

After I killed Eradicator, and maybe Constrictor, he was super low but offscreen so not sure if he died or not. I was kicked to login then when clicking on subsequent portals I got dc'd back to login.

Playing Arakali's Fang Build

I restarted PoE, and portals still did not work.

I found some old reports of this bug, but they didn't allow replies and I did the steam file verification and all files were verified.

Had this issue twice in about 5-10 Twisted invitations on the same character, never before. This is NOT a connection issue, as it only happens on Twisted invitations and only under special conditions it seems.
Judging by you saying that you were on an arakaali build and this guy's report (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3144961), it seems to be tied to poison builds - i myself only had it happen on a Molten Strike poison PF.

Since you mentioned Constrictor, too: My 2nd crash happened right when Constrictor blink arrowed out for the mutli minion phase. All other elder guards were already dead. After the dc the portals to the instance can still be entered, but you keep getting kicked to login screen after loading screen.
Bug report reference number is: 1.336.885.769.

Can this please get fixed? Apparently it has been an issue since 2021 and wasting elder guard witnessings for no reward is extremely frustrating.


EDIT: On the first time this happened i kept getting insta DC'd until all portals were gone - even when i waited like 2 hours before entering the last portal. The 2nd time I was actually able to re-enter the instance after getting DC'd and finish the invitation.

Can we get an update on this?
Bricked two Twisted invitations now.
Playing poison molten strike PF.
Instantly gets disconnected if I try to reenter.
Tried to invite a friend and he also gets disconnected if he tries to enter.
Interesting that it seems to happen on poison builds.
Before getting disconnected I was able to do the fight up until a certain point.

in my fight no guardians had died and only the first two had spawned (cant remember which guardians).

I will probably not try any more Twisted invitations until this is fixed. Better to sell them and buy splinters for the chaos if they are going to brick anyways.

I want to add information to this crash report.
Apparently the problem is not only in The Twisted Invitation.
I'm getting the same crash while doing a Mavened Constrictor map.
The problem seems to be connected to Constrictor, Maven and poison.

My situation:
Playing Molten Strike Poison build.
Doing a Mavened Constrictor map.
The Constrictor goes into "cocoon" mode (aka Mirror Arrow) while poisoned.
As soon as Constrictor uses Mirror Arrow the instance crashes.
I can rejoin the map outside of the Constrictors arena but as soon as I try to go through the portal into the Constrictors arena the game crashes (very much like the reports about The Twisted Invitation).

I hope this added information helps narrow the problem down.

try this -->

1. Run packcheck.exe as "an administrator" / In steam select "Verify game files".
2. Delete the local PoE cache files here -->
C:\Users\"your windows account name"\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile\
3. Now start PoE again as "an administrator". When at the login screen, select options.
4. Now set texture to MEDIUM and Sound channels to low.
5. See if the issue is resolved ?

Also depending if you use DX11, Vulcan or DX12 (beta), then try to change between them and see if that helps.

Packcheck + Cache file deletion didn't help the player from the initial bug report 2 years ago (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3144961) either and texture was already at medium for me. Changed channel count to low, because I guess it can't do any harm.
It doesn't look like a client-side issue to me, considering it's a DC, not the game client crashing.

I assume to replicate this you'd just need to use a build that quickly applies poisons, since the initial bug report appeared to have used cyclone. For user DSniff and me it occurred with poison molten strike, which can stack hundreds of poison instances.

My temporary workaround that appears to do the trick so far: Trying to not apply too many poison stacks at once on Constrictor, especially when he hasn't phased out recently. If the bug happens again despite doing this, I'll upload a 30 sec recap clip of it happening.

Just had an issue myself 1st time ever i was in fighting after getting to the last guy it dc me. Then anytime i try to enter the portal it dc

Are you playing Arakali's Fang? or a poison build? It seems to be linked to that, but probably incredibly hard for them to figure out how to fix it. I've never had it happen again.

Same issue with Poison MS Assasin.. cant go in anymore chache deleted all grafic settings tested nothing.. thanks GGG nice wasting ressources and time woop

Just been hit with this exact same issue - twisted invitation is bricked. Verifying game files and messing with textures/sound channels hasn't helped unfortunately. I am playing poison SRS so it certainly sound like its poison related.
