In-Game Mailbox Feature Request
|
Being someone who often trades on Path of Exile as a significant source of their currency, I have always wondered what the point of the PM option in the trade site is even for. Like unless you want to buy from someone's player store on the forums, nobody really uses it. After some back and forward between friends we wondered why can't the PM button actually function as it's supposed to but instead of sending a message to the website account you would get that message as a form of mail that players can either use a hotkey or potentially interact with a mailbox in their hideout.
This way if someone wants to buy their item but they are offline players can get a mail/notification with some details in the mail. - Player Acc Name - their forum's name in case you'd wanna send a message back that way. - Provided InGame Name - Name you can try messaging ingame about the item. - Time of Inquiry - Basically gives you what time the person tried to get in contact with you about the item in your time zone. - Item of Interest - Item Name, Info, Stash Position, Etc. - Your Listed Price - Buyers Offered Price - In case the buyer wants to haggle they can enter their own counteroffer but can also match the seller's price. I feel like this would allow for much more player-to-player interaction if people can get messages about an item while they are offline. There should also be multiple settings to configure notifications and the availability of this feature in case a person would prefer to decline using it like a streamer. It's not a feature part of the mailbox request but I would like the ability of reporting bots and scammers in-game to get them flagged for inspection. I hate seeing people scamming innocent others. When they get flagged they would have a sticker or banner on trade sites that they have been flagged as a potential scammer. So that players are more careful when trading them.
