Solar Map Device (resolved)

The Solar Map Device was advertised as changing color with map tier and then showcased in white/yellow/red. In reality it's white/yellow/red and for some odd reason celestial for T16 which was not showcased.

Now I'd understand if the celestial was used for guardian maps and/or influenced/unique maps but I expected red maps to be...well red based on what was showcased.

If this is intended it's a disappointment as I personally think the celestial "sun" looks bland and not at all as good as the white/yellow/red. And if so you should really update your showcase to show the celestial so the customer knows before spending $480.

If it's not then it needs fixing.

Bump, I'd really like to know if this is intended behavior or bugged as it bothers me more and more that it doesn't function as advertised.

This isn't really a bug... and I think the T16 celestial sun looks INCREDIBLE!! I was really happy to discover it because I thought the red sun looked a little too loud and I actually went back to the original map device until I realized that T16 was different.

I'd say it is as there's no logic in not showcasing it. And regardless of what you think of it that's my gripe, it wasn't showcased and as such the expectation was that red maps would have the red sun.

I have no issue with special maps having the celestial but as far as regular maps goes GGG set up an expectation with their showcase and didn't deliver.

Personally I think it's bland, it's basically a flat round celestial disk in the middle of the device with some yellow flames swirling around. The fact that the flames aren't even red makes no sense what so ever.

Either way, for a $480 pack I'd say it's pretty important to meet the expectations set by the showcase which is why I'm suggesting it's unintended.

Still no official word on this, does one have to bother Chris through e-mail to have an explanation as to why this is?
