Mac disk write error on update
Path of Exile updates appear to download but then I get:
An error occurred while updating Path of Exile (disk write error) /users/mom/library/application support/steam/steamapps/common/Path of Exile/PathOfExileClient.app/Contents/CodeResources See the Steam support site for more information The Steam support site did not help. If I reinstall the game it works fine, but fails with the next update. I think this only appeared after I updated to MacOS Ventura I am on a 2019 iMac with Ventura 13.0.1 Last bumped on Dec 26, 2023, 11:42:25 AM

I am now having the exact same issue after the latest patch was installed.
Just to confirm I am on a M1 Mac running Ventura OS. Issue has only started happening since the latest update. I have tried: Restart steam, Restart Mac, Clear download cache, Try to repair files but this fails with same error, disable FW & Antivirus and re perform tests all with same outcome. Workaround - Uninstall PoE, Reinstall PoE, Works first time, then restart Mac and it no longe works with the issue described above. I'm now going to uninstall, add a new library location within my users folder and re try my tests as I suspect the issue is linked to a permissions getting messed up somewhere. But thought would drop this message here first. | |
Did any of these workarounds fix the problems?
I am getting the same error on my M1 running Ventura, and I have tried Restarting Steam and Mac and clearing the download cache, but nothing has worked. I was able to download the previous update, which was before I updated it to Ventura. |

Exact same problem here.

It worked for me too! For me it was System Settings / Privacy & Security / App Management / Steam
