Shield Charge vs Flame Dash

I'm not sure when to use Shield Charge vs Flame Dash. I see some streamers using shield charge a lot but flame dash seems so much more comfortable to me.

it really depends.
Mostly just use what's more comfortable to you. Back in the day you could easily keep fortify up with just shield charging but that's no longer the case. So just flame dashing is fine |

Shield Charge can't cross gaps. If you charge into even a pebble, it will stop. But it has no cooldown.
Flame Dash can go over anything and is instant cast (if you don't spam it). But it only has 3 charges. |
