Ruthless Gem Rewards

Most likely going to play a counter attack gladiator in ruthless, however Duelist is offered zero of the 3 counter attack skills, while having an ascendancy built around block and counterattacks. I would have to mule a marauder to act 3 which is no problem by me, but I'm just surprised they don't get any as a choice. They can be bought for the vendor after however this is not in ruthless mode.
Are gem choice rewards changed in ruthless at all, or are the choices still the original options? Last bumped on Mar 21, 2023, 4:09:09 PM

I thought that skill gems are available for purchase (using an Uncarved Gemstone) at Siosa in Act 3. I haven't played Ruthless, so I can't confirm, but wouldn't that include Reckoning, Riposte, and Vengeance?

That sounds right, AH, but can't you only get 2 of the Uncarved Gemstones?

I think so, yes. 2 of them. Maybe you'll get very lucky and one of the skill gems will drop. :)

I think duelist should get riposte.. its odd that shadow and ranger get it but duelist doesn't. Almost seems like an oversight. Usually gems are rewarded to at least 3 different classes as quest rewards

lvl64 hierophant still did not get any support gem for totem or armageddon brand. Like wtf

In Ruthless, you can buy 2 skill gems from Siosa, over the campaign. One in act 3, one in act 5. You can complete Mud Flats in act 1 with a Shadow/Ranger to get Riposte, then buy the other two from vendor.
