DX12 stuck in 30fps Vulkan severe visual glitch, only DX11 is usable.
System spec:
- i5 2500k + Asus P8P67LE + 32GB DDR3 1888 - Power Color RX580 8GB running latest November 2022 driver - WIndows10 21H2 build 19044.2006 Game copy is brand new, just downloaded. I have removed old cache / config as stated in General Troubleshoot thread. GPU driver is latest version. Windows is also just updated. No my GPU isn't overheating. VSync is OFF both in game and GPU driver. Vulkan glitch sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Flgtvz1Bnho As you can see the FPS also stuck at 30fps like DX12. On DX11 the game perform and works fine at 100fps+ This problem did not occur several years back when Vulkan was newly implemented, that time DX12 mode isn't a thing yet. Back then I always ran Vulkan and it perform really well. Unfortunately in the pass year or so it has become unusable for me. Game graphic setting: Even if set to absolute minimum, DX12 still stuck around 30fps, max 37fps ish ![]() ![]() Last edited by xonedl#1873 on Nov 18, 2022, 9:39:15 PM Last bumped on Nov 20, 2022, 10:57:36 AM

You want to sync your display to the frame rate.
I don't have an AMD GPU, but it should be the same. Set the GPU driver to vsync On; in-game vsync Off. But here's the good bit: --Set Dynamic Culling to On --Set Dynamic Resolution to Off --Set Target Frame Rate to the frame rate of your display --Set Engine Multi-threading to Off Also, you have to be Fullscreen for this to really work. In Windows 10, set the Game Mode to On (only if you're not using any other client but the initial client by GGG). In that same area, set the Graphic Options for GPU-Scheduling to On (you can even point to the x64 executable of the game here). Everything should be great. |

Those Vulkan Glitches are very similar to those I described in thread 3321399.
In the thread you only see the login screen, but when i managed to switch ingame it looked exactly like that, just with brown instead of light blue artifacts. For me those happen with the Nvidia Vulkan Dev Drivers starting 515.49.19 under Linux. |
